Woodstock Wolverines Name Jason Congdon U18 Head Coach

Woodstock, ON — The Woodstock Wolverines are proud to announce the appointment of Jason Congdon as the new U18 Head Coach, a major addition that strengthens the club’s commitment to elite player development and strong leadership.

Congdon brings an impressive football résumé to the Wolverines, highlighted by his experience as a former CFL player, giving him first-hand knowledge of what it takes to compete at the highest levels of the game. His professional playing background, combined with years of coaching and mentorship, allows him to teach the game with credibility, structure, and a clear pathway for athletes aspiring to play beyond minor football.

“Having someone with Jason’s CFL experience leading our U18 program is a huge win for our athletes,” said Joe Brown Executive Director of the Woodstock Wolverines. “He understands the standards, preparation, and mindset required to succeed at the next level, and he knows how to translate that into meaningful development for young players.”

Known for his disciplined, detail-oriented approach, Congdon emphasizes fundamentals, accountability, and team-first football. He is a strong believer in developing the entire roster—not just standout players—while building character, leadership, and confidence both on and off the field.

“I’m excited to join the Wolverines and help build something special,” said Coach Congdon. “Football gave me incredible opportunities, including the chance to play at the professional level. I want to pass that knowledge on and help these athletes maximize their potential—on the field and in life.”
