Woodstock Minor Football Association Receives Support from Woodstock Community Grant

WOODSTOCK, ON – The Woodstock Minor Football Association (WMFA) is proud to announce that it has been awarded funding through the Woodstock Community Grant. This vital support will help the organization continue to grow and provide safe, inclusive, and affordable football opportunities for youth across Oxford County.

The grant will directly assist with the purchase of essential equipment, field rentals, and the expansion of both flag and tackle football programs — ensuring that more children can experience the benefits of sport regardless of financial barriers.

“This funding means everything to us,” said Joe Brown, Executive Officer of the Woodstock Minor Football Association. “We’re growing faster than ever, and this grant allows us to keep providing the quality programming our players and families deserve. It helps us ensure that every child who wants to play football has the opportunity to do so safely and affordably.”

The WMFA has seen a significant increase in participation over the past few years, reflecting the growing excitement for football in the region. With this grant, the association will be able to meet the needs of its expanding programs — including new travel teams, enhanced coaching development, and upgraded safety equipment.

“Community support like this is what keeps youth sports alive,” Brown added. “The Woodstock Community Grant helps us invest back into our players and our community, building confidence, leadership, and teamwork both on and off the field.”

The Woodstock Minor Football Association extends its sincere gratitude to the City of Woodstock and the Woodstock Community Grants Committee for recognizing the importance of youth sports in building a strong, connected community.
